St. Bede’s Prep School

An addition to an early 20th century prep school building provided three science laboratories and two general classrooms. This took place above two existing floors of classrooms, and required steel columns to support the new structure with piled foundations undertaken within the existing building.

This was achieved whilst the school continued with its daily pattern of life.

The design, located within a Conservation Area was blended in with the school’s existing style, complementing this distinctive building next to Beachy Head cliffs.
