Eastbourne District General Hospital Helipad

The practice was instrumental along with A R Associates (Structural Engineers) in the design and construction of this new facility for the hospital.

The helipad enables patients requiring urgent treatment to be transferred to and from the hospital more rapidly. The facility makes Eastbourne DGH the most accessible landing site for air ambulance and other emergency helicopters of any hospital in Sussex.

It can now accept helicopters both day and night from Air Ambulance, Police, Coast Guard, Air-sea Rescue and the military and has been designed to accommodate the largest regularly visiting military helicopter the AgustaWestland EH101 Merlin. The new pad has enhanced poor weather and night-time lighting, including landing lights and an illuminated wind sock.
